Getting to the Start Area – Ole’s Tour 2.5 /4 km
There is no parking at the Start Area at Waskehegan Stadium.
Drive to Uncas Parking Lot located just east of Sherwood Park and park. Free shuttle bus service for Ole’s Tour skiers and spectators runs from the Uncas parking lot to the start area continuously from 8 am all day.
Your Itinerary - 2.5 or 4 km Ole’s Tour
8:30 a.m. Leave Edmonton to drive to Uncas Parking Lot
9:00 a.m. Arrive Uncas parking lot – follow directions of parking marshals
9:30 a.m. Bus to Start /Finish area
9:45 a.m. Arrive Waskehegan Stadium and Wax skis
10:00 a.m. Festival Tent for coffee and hot chocolate
10:30 a.m. Drop off tagged clothing bag at Clothing tent in Stadium
10:35 a.m. Walk to start line on Field – takes up to 10 minutes to walk – longer with little people
10:45 a.m. Drop off tagged clothing bag at Clothing tent if you forgot to leave it in the stadium
10:50 a.m. Hop around and jumping jacks to warm up
Fast rabbits at the front, turtles and pulks at the back please
10:55 a.m. Official Program at Start Line
11:00 a.m. Start of Ole’s Tour – you decide 2.5 km or 4 km distance at the start line or the junction.
No times at finish line.
Getting to the Start Line – Ole’s Tour
Start area is located at the Waskehegan Stadium (also the finish for all races). Shuttle bus lets you off in the Stadium. Access to the start line of Ole’s Tour is walking through the Stadium East, past the picnic shelter to the big field
- "Access to short Starts" - follow the signs.
What are the routes for Ole’s Tour 2.5 or 4 km?
Loop course starts from Field east of the Waskehegan Stadium out to Neon Lake and back. Course is mostly gentle hills and flat. Choose your distance at the start line or as late as the split on the course to go 2.5 or 4 km
The finish line for all races is at Waskehegan Staging Area, which is the same location as start area.
How do I get back to my vehicle after I finish Ole’s Tour?
A free shuttle bus service for finishers runs from the finish line (same bus stop in the Stadium) back to vehicles in the Uncas Parking Lot. Runs continuously all day until 5 pm.
