Vacancies on The Board of Directors

Festival Director (Birkie Nordic Fair and Vikings’ Feast Awards Banquet)	Do you have a passion for organizing festival events and have an eye for decorating? This Director co-ordinates the venue for Friday’s Nordic Fair bib pick-up and Saturday’s Vikings’ Feast. Venue is Holiday Inn Convention Centre SE Edmonton where the host hotel is handling much of the set up work. (This portfolio is currently being handled by our current President who was previously Festival Director and is willing to mentor the new Director.)
Awards and Merchandising Director	Do you like organizing teams of volunteers to hand out awards at finish lines and at Awards Night? Do you have a flair for what sells as Birkie swag? This can be one Director position or two co-ordinator positions.

Vacancies on The Loppet Committee

As of December 2009, all Chief positions are filled for our 2010 event. However, some current Chiefs are looking for potential successors who are willing to "shadow" them and take over in a future year. There are several specific areas for which we are seeking new Chiefs for the 2011 event. For more information, contact our office.
