Your Itinerary 55 km Torskeklubben Birkebeiner with Pack Whats the route 55 km BK? A point to point course from the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village along the east edge of Elk Island National Park and through the scenic Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. There are several places along the 55km course where spectators can see the skiers in action. The racers pass both the Blackfoot staging area and Islet Lake Staging area, both of which have easy vehicle. Station closing times - 55 km Birkebeiner with Pack and 55 km Birkie Lite
The finish line for all races is at Waskehegan Staging Area, located just east of Sherwood Park. Getting back to my vehicle after I finish the 55 km BK A free shuttle bus service for finishers runs from the finish line (in the Stadium) back to vehicles at the Long Start at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. Runs continuously all day until 5 pm. Spectators, family wanting to pick up finishers There is no parking directly at Waskehegan Staging Area. Spectators for finish of events must park at the Uncas Parking Lot, and take free shuttle buses to and from finish line |
